We are looking for a Quality Inspector who will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. You should possess a trained eye for detail, be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and excellent comprehension of quality standards are also required.
This is a full time, hands-on position in the factory (not a remote role).
Examine and implement blueprints and instructions for the quality expectations of products and supplies
Perform inspection of incoming, in-process and outgoing product:
Read and interpret specifications relevant to part characteristics and inspection
Use measurement and test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
Create programs for Hexagon CMM (PC-DMIS)
Complete First Article Inspection Reports in compliance with AS9102 format
Complete other relevant inspection paperwork
Use appropriate material transport (totes, carts, powered industrial trucks, etc.)
Inspect raw materials, approving or rejecting them according to quality standards, and record supplier performance
Support maintenance of the calibration program:
Perform internal calibrations as required
Communicate with external calibration suppliers
Collect M&TE to stage for outside calibration
Assist with management of nonconforming products:
Identification, segregation, communication, problem-solving, and disposition as required
Perform other assignments as prescribed by leadership:
Support SHEQ initiatives, assist with metrics development, share lessons learned, etc .
Ability to read/understand blueprints/technical drawings
Working knowledge of GD&T
CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS
Experience with hand tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
Command of the English language and ability to communicate with others
Compliance with the QMS, AS9100D:2016, ISO 9001:2015 and other applicable requirements
Education + Experience in production quality or machinist trades preferred:
High School Diploma or equivalent + 5 years of experience OR Associates Degree or above + 2 years of experience
US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
